Welcome to Floor Choice

Thank you for visiting our wood and laminate flooring website. We hope that you will find what you are looking for in terms of wood flooring & adhesive products, which we have strived to make affordable whilst retaining the highest quality to ensure customer satisfaction.

We know that many of you will be uncertain about the wood flooring product that will best suit your application and we welcome your telephone call should you have any doubts as to which product and how best to install your chosen flooring. At Floor Choice we have people who will give you genuine technical expertise gained from many years in the flooring installation business both to domestic and to commercial customers with products ranging from a laminate floor in a hallway to a sports floor in a sports centre. We have worked all over Europe including installing floors in the Berlin Stock Exchange, the Bundesbank in Frankfurt, Netherlands Embassy in Vienna plus many other projects so we are qualified to help you with your questions.

You do not need to have purchased a floor from us to get advice so please feel free to ask us should you have anything that you would like to know concerning wood and laminate flooring.

These are the following types of products that we have in stock;

Laminate Flooring

Laminate flooring is not actually real flooring, but looks just like it, with the appearance of the floor being provided by a photograph of the wood grain. This picture of the flooring is then covered with a highly protective melamine wear layer which offers great durability, while the base is made from very dense fibres. This makes Laminate floors very easy to clean and a great option for those with a crowded and busy household.  Laminate flooring is generally very easy to install and is ideal for the DIY market due to it's click installation system.

At Floor Choice, we offer Quickstep laminate flooring which is one of Europes leading manufacturers and offers a range of different styles a decors to meet every need. As well as Quickstep, we offer Krono Original Flooring which is a great value for money product and has a vast range of different decors to suit all your requirements.

Engineered Wood Flooring

Engineered wood flooring is a product that is made up of a core most commonly plywood, hardwood, softwood or HDF and a top layer of hardwood veneer is bonded to the core. The thickness of most veneers can range from 3mm-6mm generally, which can provide just as much wear as a solid wooden floor. Engineered wood has been designed to provide greater stability when installing floors, especially when in areas such as basements, conservatories or over underfloor heating when solid wood flooring is not an option.

Floor Choice offer a wide range of engineered wood flooring from HARO Parquet and Chateau Parquet. HARO Parquet is one of Europes largest flooring manufacturers and offer great quality products for very reasonable prices, these range from Walnut 3 strip flooring to Oak plank flooring in a range of different finishes from durable lacquers to the more popular brushed and oiled appearance.

Chateau Parquet are a high end flooring manufacturer who provide quality Engineered wood flooring which are a mixture of different widths and finishes. In the Chateau Parquet 21mm Range you can find the 180mm wide oak planks which come in a range of different colours and finishes, the 220mm wide flooring which provide that wide plank appearance, and for the designer out there who just loves super wide plank flooring then there's the 300mm wide planks which just need to be seen to be believed.

Wood Flooring Adhesive

 At Floor Choice we have chosen Rewmar MS Polymer wood flooring adhesive which enables solid wood flooring to be installed onto solid subfloors such as concrete and screed. Flexible wood flooring adhesives are necessary for the successful installation of solid wooden floors when gluing to concrete and MS Polymer adhesives have now taken the lead from urethane based products which contain isocyanates, a recognised carcinogen. The Rewmar wood flooring adhesive range includes a PVA adhesive designed for the installation of engineered wood flooring when laid as a floating floor.  Rewmar DPM products are also available and these are designed to allow wood floor installation to be started before the subfloor is at the BS8201 recommended level.

Floor choice is also able to offer the Rewmar Acoustic Mat System which consists of the Rewmar 250 Slatted Underlay and the Rewmar MS600 Adhesive, where sound dampening is required. If you want to install your wood flooring using a batten adhesive system then we have Rewmar MS600 which can be used in conjunction with the Rewmar Applicator Gun. We also have Rewmar Hand & Tool Wipes to help keep the floor clean during installation and your hands and tools clean thereafter. Wood floor installation has never been easier than with Rewmar wood flooring adhesives and ancillary products.

We do not sell urethane adhesives on our web site as they are, in our opinion, more difficult to use than the MS Polymer wood flooring adhesives. They tend to have a short pot life so its ‘use it or lose it’, they are difficult to clean off hands and flooring, and finally and most importantly they contain isocyanates.
